Being a bad singer doesn’t have to mean that you can not have fun while singing. There are a lot of people out there who like to have fun with singing, some are talented but most of them are actually bad singers. If you know that you are a bad singer, you have to own it and have fun with it. There are way too many people who are sacrificing everything going from one audition to another just to get rejected and they simply do not want to acknowledge that their voice is bad.
Believe it or not, there are a lot of bad and even tone-deaf singers who have made it big, the main reason is that they actually had fun with their singing. Some of these tone-deaf singers knew that they were awful while others simply refused to think they have anything less than an angelic voice if you want more information about awful singers, check out my recent article Famous tone deaf singers ( Top 13 ).
If you want to enhance your singing and speaking voice then my personal recommendation is to use a natural vocal booster that also soothes and relieves hoarseness Click here to check it out on Amazon.com
If you have ever gone to a karaoke bar or club, where they even offer prizes you have probably noticed that not always the person with the best voice wins the prize. The truth is that everybody at a karaoke club is there to have fun, oftentimes beginner singers do take it way too seriously and they even get upset if they do not win the karaoke competition. If you as a singer go to karaoke in hopes that you will be discovered by some agent then I have to burst your bubble, the odds of this happening are slim to none.
However, if you are a bad singer and you still love singing, then you can have a lot of fun at a karaoke night. The whole point of a karaoke night is to have fun, if you have a bad voice, simply pick some cringy song and go with it. Most singer’s worst nightmare is to be laughed at, and they generally tend to forget that their part as a singer is to entertain people if you do not have the voice to make people’s jaw drop then you might as well make them laugh.
One of the best parts about singing at karaoke events is that you do not even have to do it alone if you have some friends than simply make a singalong. The quality of your voice doesn’t really matter if you have fun so will others and that is the most important, if you want to know which are the best singalong songs for a karaoke party then check out my article Best sing-along songs when drunk ( Top 23 ).
In the list below you will find a lot of easy karaoke songs for beginners, no matter if you are a beginner singer or a bad singer, my recommendation is to start singing these songs at karaoke.

Rebecca Black “Friday”
Friday by Rebecca Black must be one of the cringiest songs you can sing at a karaoke night, just listen to it for a couple of seconds and you will know why. Her video is one of the most disliked videos on youtube, although at first, she did try to ignore the critics she eventually owned up to here crappy song. She is making music still to this day, although if you take a look at her rating it doesn’t really look good. In addition to its cringe factor, this is one of those easy songs to sing that makes you sound good, no matter how awful your actual voice is.
“Look At My Horse Song!”
Just make some of your friends to listen to the song and you will see their confused expression, they will not know how to even react to it if it is some artsy-fartsy song or it is actually a serious song. If you want to have a good time singing karaoke even if you have a bad voice, then my recommendation is to sing this song, odds are nobody in the crowd listened to it, and trust me their reaction will be priceless.
Suzanne Vega “Toms Diner”
If you ever had an iPod then you probably had this song on your playlist at least a couple of times. This song is extremely catchy, even for people who have never listened to it. It is also extremely easy to sing as you do not need to actually have a good voice and the song will still sound relatively good. While most vocal coaches will say that this song is not recommended for bad or beginner singers, however, you just have to keep in mind that karaoke is all about having fun.
Billy Ray Cyrus “Achy Breaky Heart”
If you are a fan of country singing then this song is definitely for you, I personally do not remember what exactly happened in the ’90s but that age was golden for catchy weird songs. The lyrics are extremely easy to remember and if you have a deep than usual voice then it will sound even better. Just listen to the video above and I promise you that if you sing it at a karaoke night you will have a lot of fun, even if you have a bad voice.
Joan Jett “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll”
Odds are that you will hear this song at least one time during a karaoke night. The actual song is fairly hard to sing correctly, but that is what makes it funny if you have a bad voice, you can not imagine how many people I heard screaming their lungs out with this song, lots of fun.
Wheatus “Teenage Dirtbag”
Honestly speaking the song is not that impressive compared to the other ones in this list, however, the lyrics make it a great song for bad singers. The best thing about this song is that you can even do a singalong with it.
Britney Spears “Baby One More Time”
This is a classic one, however, you will rarely hear it during a karaoke party. But when you do hear it sung by someone with a bad voice you will definitely notice and remember it. Although the song when it was first released was extremely popular with teenagers, now you will listen to the same teenagers tuned 30 trying to sing this song which inevitably will make it funny.

The B-52’s “Love Shack”
If you are an 80’s or 90’s child you have probably heard this song a couple of times. Although not all karaoke nights will have this song sung by somebody but this mostly depends on the actual age of the crowd, if the crowd is around 30-year-olds than you will definitely hear it.
John Travolta & Olivia Newton John “Summer Nights”
This song is excellent for singalongs no matter if the group is made by either males or females, or a combination of both. The song has several lyrics sung by the female vocalist and by the male vocalist, what makes this song great for karaoke nights is the backup singers, give it a try and I promise you that you will not regret signing it.
Right Said Fred “I’m Too Sexy”
This song must probably be one of the best songs to sing if you are a bad singer, for the simple fact that the actual singer of the song is also awful. So no matter how you will sing it you will still probably be better than the actual singer. If you are looking for easy songs to sing that sound impressive then this one is for you.
Smash Mouth “All Star”
The lyrics of this song are great, although it can be somewhat difficult to sing if you take it too seriously, just let it go and let other people enjoy your bad singing.
Miley Cyrus “Party In The U.S.A.”
If you like Rebecca Black’s “Friday” than you will love this song, it is excellent for a karaoke night, fairly hard to mess it up all you need to focus is on the lyrics or the so-called lyrics.
Billy Joel “Uptown Girl”
This song is more for the older karaoke crowd if you are in your 20’s you have probably never heard this song at a karaoke night. However the song is fairly catchy and even a bad or mediocre singer will sound fairly good, as for the lyrics part it only has a couple of verses so you will have zero problems singing it.
Aqua “Barbie Girl”
Back in the day, you could hear this song on most karaoke nights, although it has started to fade out a bit over the times. The song’s actual tone is very light-hearted although if you listen to the lyrics it kind of sounds awkward, but nonetheless if you want to have fun at a karaoke night pick this song, I dare you.
Backstreet Boys “Everybody”
This song has been released at a time where boy bands were actually a thing, thankfully this trend has faded away. But if you love cheesy songs than this one will be right up your alley, it is even better if you have one more friend with an awful voice to make a singalong.
O-Zone “Dragostea din tei”
When this Romanian song has been released it has taken over the world, if you search for funny covers on youtube you will know why this song is excellent for bad singers. Most people will have no idea how to pronounce the actual lyrics, but that has not stopped anybody from singing it at a karaoke event.
The Champs “Tequila”
This song is excellent for bad singers, it has very few lyrics and can easily be sung with other people, once you start singing this song at a karaoke club you will notice that more and more people will join the singalong when the “Tequila” part comes.
Spice Girls “Wannabe”
You have probably noticed that most of the songs on this list are a little bit older, the main reason for this is due to the fact that the music industry has changed so much during the past couple of years. While in the past most successful songs were “happy feeling” songs, nowadays most of them are either way too overly dramatic or nonsensical.
Beyoncé “Pretty Hurts”
Although not one of the best songs for bad singers, however, you can still sing it at karaoke events. Just do not take it too seriously as the song tends to be way too dramatic and sad.
The Beatles “Yellow Submarine”
Although not one of the most popular songs for karaoke nights due to its monotone sounds, however, if you have a group of friends who also have bad voices then this song should be an excellent one for you.
Tone-Loc “Wild Thing”
This is an excellent song for bad singers, the actual song is fairly monotone, but you will have to keep an eye out for the songs lyrics.
Lou Bega “Mambo No. 5”
Believe it or not, this song was actually a smashing hit when it was first released, you simply couldn’t get rid of hearing this song at parties. What is great about this song is that you do not actually need any skill to sing it, I am not saying the artist is talentless but the song and its lyrics are extremely noob-friendly.
The Bangles “Eternal Flame”
If you have listened to the song you probably think it is not well suited for bad singers, however, that is what makes it funny and excellent for bad singers. The tone of the song is fairly serious and singing it with a bad voice will make it extremely funny.
Céline Dion “My Heart Will Go On”
You probably will not think that this is an excellent song for bad singers as it is a fairly dramatic love song. However it is excellent for bad singers as they will, in fact, struggle with the higher notes, and you probably will think that you are listening to some funny cat screaming.
Blink-182 “All The Small Things”
This an extremely light-hearted and funny song, if you sing it at a karaoke night you probably will not even notice how bad your voice sounds, as the actual singing by the group isn’t that great.
Chumbawamba “Tubthumping”
This song alone can kickstart any party at a karaoke club, it is easy to follow but due to its lyrics, it might be difficult as the actual artist is singing kind of fast, although lack of talent and skill should never stop you from singing this amazing song.
Fugees “Killing Me Softly With His Song”
If you are frequently going to karaoke clubs you have probably heard this song at least a couple of times. The song is actually great for singing at karaoke, the lyrics are fairly easy and you do not have to focus on your vocal tone too much as it is kind of monotone.
In conclusion
If you are a bad singer that doesn’t mean you can not have fun while singing if you want to share your talent or the lack of it than the best place for this is at a karaoke club. Do not take the songs too seriously, enjoy it and have fun, who knows you might actually be one of those “so bad that it’s good” singers, although I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
