Good audition songs for kids ( Top 110 Songs )

Auditions can be fairly stressful, even as an adult, now imagine all that stress and you are a kid. A lot of people who have stage fright all their lives is mostly because of one or two embarrassing events which probably happened in the past. As a parent, your main goal is to make the audition of your child as fun as possible, and without any stress. One of the major problems which I see when kids are auditioning is not that they can not sing, but they are simply terrified and overwhelmed with emotions.

The good audition songs for kids are the ones that can be easily sung, highlight their vocal performance and most importantly they are fun to sing. Singing auditions can be fairly stressful for children, and this is why it is extremely important to take into consideration the child’s opinion on the song. While some songs might impress others, but you have to let your kid have some fun with them as well.

On the other hand, there are children who have an actual stage presence, which is more than I could say of some famous singers. These children are most likely extroverts and they love to be in the center of attention. They have learned from an early age that they can have the attention and admiration of anybody with their singing and you can see that they love it while they are doing the audition.

If you want to enhance your singing and speaking voice then my personal recommendation is to use a natural vocal booster that also soothes and relieves hoarseness Click here to check it out on

With introverted kinds, auditions can be a little more challenging, usually, they can sing but once they are in front of other people and in the center of attention, they simply freeze. This is most likely because they are not used to singing in front of a crowd of strangers, generally speaking, they only sing in front of their family, but sometimes they will only sing in front of one of the parents. For adult singers, you can simply say to them to plow through the emotions, however, for kids, it is a lot different and this approach will not work.

This is why I made my list of good audition songs for kids, after hearing hundreds if not thousands of kids audition I have identified a couple of songs that are suitable for almost any kind of voice. The song you sing at an audition is extremely important, while you might think that picking a hard song to sing is a good way to get noticed, but for kid singers, it is all about letting them having fun with the song, simply put if they are having fun then the audition will definitely be successful. If you are older, but you still want to know what are the easiest audition songs, then check out my recent article Easy audition songs for beginners ( Top 80 Easiest Songs ).

Most parents will look for contemporary audition songs for kids, although this is not always recommended. Mostly because not all parents have enough knowledge about singing in general and they only want to pick contemporary songs because they are fairly popular. My personal recommendation is to choose a good audition song for your kid which is best for their voice if you don’t know what kind of song is good for your child then you should contact a vocal coach as he or she will probably identify what songs are best for your kid’s voice.

In this list, you will also find some of the best audition songs for Annie and Matilda, depending on what kind of character in the play you want your kid to audition for. In addition to this, I have also added some good children’s musical theatre group songs.

In conclusion

As you can see there are a lot of good audition songs for kids, my personal recommendation is to listen to a couple of them and let your child sing some of them. Once you think you have found a good song with which your kid can audition, then also ask them if they like the song, believe me, it is a massive difference between what a parent thinks is a good song and what a kid thinks is fun and also sounds good, so make sure to listen to their feedback as well.
